Schwag strategy

VM (Vicky) Brasseur

I just dropped this onto the agenda for next week's meeting, but I suspect it's going to be a fairly involved discussion so we should start it on email to save on time.

Before we even get to the question of what schwag we want (which I realise is the question that we'd all prefer to be answering 😉), we need to figure out the purpose for our schwag.

There's the standard "project promotion," sure. But this stuff will be living in the LF Schwag Store, which Casey has told us (in the TSC call) doesn't really get much traffic. It's mostly there to make it easy to ship schwag to people without having to drag it halfway across the world to a conference.

So…what is *our* schwag for?

My two cents...

1. Project awareness. Not just that it exists, but why it's different.

2. Project engagement. Join the community, try the software (Carbide).
